Shrimp Foils

Shrimp foils are one of the new developments in fly tying. It has never been easier to tie realistic imitation shrimp!

Shrimp foils are transparent foils in the form of a back shield of shrimp. The foils have a printed segmentation and a self-adhesive back, which means that they remain in place when they are integrated. To get a different color, the shrimp foils can be colored accordingly with a waterproof marker. Finally, these foils should be coated with 5-minute epoxy or "Bug Bond" UV glue. In this way, the applied color is retained and the bow tie has a natural, translucent finish and a long service life.

These foils offer a very simple way of tying true-to-life imitations of shrimp. Flies with shrimp foils are therefore ideal for sea trout fishing on the European coasts!
